Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot, refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.
Thawing: Store covered in refrigerator for 12 hours or overnight, or thaw in microwave on defrost setting. Conventional Oven (Preferred method. Appliances vary. Cooking times are
approximate. For best results when breading or
marinating frozen chicken, remove protective ice glaze by holding under lukewarm running water for about 1 minute.): 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. Bake frozen chicken drumsticks 55-65 minutes, or until juices run clear when thickest part of chicken is pierced and temperature on instant-read thermometer reaches 185 degrees F. (Bake thawed drumsticks 45-55 minutes). Grill: 1. Preheat grill to medium heat. 2. Grill frozen chicken drumsticks, turning occasionally for 35-45 minutes, or until juices run clear when thickest part of chicken is pierced and temperature on instant-read thermometer reaches 185°F. (Grill thawed drumsticks 25-35 minutes.) Cooking Instructions. Internal temperature of this chicken needs to reach 185 degrees F as measured by a food thermometer. Make sure chicken is cooked thoroughly by checking temperature in several spots.
