For use:
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Important: keep out of reach of children. Do not place in areas accessible to children. Use restrictions: this product can treat up to 18.75 cubic feet. Kills clothes moths and carpet beetles and their eggs and larvae in clean, airtight containers, such as chests, trunks, and garment bags. Do not use dry cleaning bags, garbage bags or other containers that allow vapors to escape into occupied rooms. This product can damage some plastics. Use only in polyethylene or polypropylene containers. p-Dichlorobenzene should not be mixed or placed in contact with other moth preventive chemicals or placed on painted, polished or plastic surfaces. Pre-application directions: clean all fabrics before storage. Prevents moth infestation regardless of fabric type. Application directions: calculate the volume to be treated in cubic feet by multiplying the height times the width times the depth of the space. Four packets can treat about 3 cubic feet of storage space. Examples of the amount of product required for proper treatment are listed below:
4 packets - small storage box (3 cu. ft.).
14 packets - average garment bag (12 cu. ft.).
18 packets - large trunk (15 cu. ft.).
The proper treatment of larger volumes may require the use of additional containers of packets. To insure protection of your clothes, use the recommended amount of packets. Do not remove the mothballs from the packets. Scatter packets throughout storage area. Storage containers should be tightly closed at all times to maximize protection. Keep storage containers tightly closed at all times. Replace when mothballs have dissipated. Odor quickly vanishes when articles are aired.
Storage and disposal:
Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal.
Pesticide storage: store only in original container, in a cool dry place inaccessible to children and pets. Keep container closed and away from other chemicals. Pesticide disposal and container handling: nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill container. If empty: place in trash or offer for recycling if available. If partly filled: call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.
