Joining Our Table: Meet Laura Jones, VP of Brand & Marketing
With millions of households across North America relying on Instacart to get their groceries and household essentials each week, our teams remain relentlessly focused on building the absolute best online grocery shopping experience possible. Now, more than ever, we believe it’s critical to develop a world class brand that helps position our products and services to consumers and elevate the value we deliver to customers.
To help lead this effort, today we’re excited to announce that Laura Jones has joined Instacart as our new VP of Brand & Marketing. She is joining Instacart’s leadership team, reporting directly to COO Asha Sharma.
Laura comes to Instacart from Uber, most recently as the Global Head of Marketing for the Rides business. Prior to that, she served as Uber’s Global Head of Product Marketing where she built a global team of more than 60 product marketing managers and strategists responsible for Uber’s Rides, Eats and Freight businesses. During her time at Uber, Laura was at the helm of every product launch, shaping iconic experiences and campaigns that have evolved Uber from a niche service into a globally resonant brand serving over 120M+ customers worldwide. Before Uber, Laura was at Google where she led Brand and Marketing Communications for Google Express, including brand identity development, physical asset design for all user touch points, and digital campaigns.
At Instacart, Laura will lead our central Brand & Marketing function encompassing Creative, Brand Marketing, Brand Media, Product Marketing, Partner Marketing and Marketing Operations where she will be responsible for shaping and defining a cohesive brand that threads across all aspects of our business. We’re excited for Laura to join Instacart’s leadership team to help support our long-term strategic vision as we continue to redefine the role Instacart plays for customers, shoppers and partners.
Welcome to the team, Laura!
What’s in Laura’s cart? I always have fruit and cereal in my cart — my two children would eat their body weight in berries if it were physically possible!
