Taste of Instacart

Joining Our Table: Meet Ryan Mayward, VP of Ad Sales

At Instacart, we’re focused on supporting our customers, shoppers and partners as online grocery shopping becomes an even more important part of peoples’ lives. For brands specifically, our growing Instacart Ads business offers brands of all sizes prominent placement among the millions of items available from the nearly 600 beloved retailers on the Instacart marketplace, as well as a deeper understanding of customer behavior in the digital aisles.

As part of the continued growth of our Instacart Ads business and team, we’re excited to welcome Ryan Mayward to Instacart as our new VP of Ad Sales, beginning today.

Ryan comes to Instacart from Amazon, where he spent nearly a decade as part of the core team responsible for helping to lead and build the company’s advertising business from the ground up. He was most recently Director of Ad Sales and Global Head of Agency and Ad Tech Sales for Amazon, where he led global agency development, programmatic, ad tech, and OTT sales programs for Amazon’s multi-billion dollar ads business. Prior to Amazon, Ryan built the national programmatic sales team at NBCUniversal.

At Instacart, Ryan will focus on developing and deepening relationships with CPG brands and advertising agencies. The strong relationships that Ryan has built with brands and agencies around the world during his time at Amazon are a testament to his deep understanding of brand and client needs. We look forward to all the value he’ll bring to the team as we focus on delivering ecommerce growth for even more brands on the Instacart marketplace.

Welcome to the team, Ryan!

What’s always in Ryan’s cart? San Marzano canned tomatoes, flat-leaf parsley, and De Cecco Linguine no. 7
