Amylu Foods Serves Up Healthy Sales Growth with Instacart Ads

Since 1992, Amylu Foods has continued its family-owned tradition of crafting chicken sausages inspired by artisan techniques. Today, the brand offers chicken burgers and meatballs — along with its traditional sausages — to health-conscious grocery customers.

Amylu Foods approached Instacart to explore the e-commerce sector, recognizing the potential to drive sales growth and new-to-brand (NTB) customer awareness. This initiative aligned with one of Amylu Foods’ overall objectives: using e-commerce as a channel for expanding into new households.

Stepping into the Omnichannel Opportunity

Amylu Foods leveraged ads on Instacart to connect with customers as they shopped. In collaboration with their Instacart Ads team, the brand landed on a full-scale strategy using specific product, keyword, and customer targeting tactics. With this approach, Amylu Foods encouraged real-time ad engagement with high-intent customers in omnichannel spaces. Amylu Foods also used post-sale metrics to help the brand analyze ad performance and devise future plans for ad spend.

The results speak for themselves: Amylu Foods’ ads on Instacart supported a 100% growth in sales compared to the brand’s numbers from last year. Amylu Foods also reported increased distribution and an uptick in NTB customer engagement.

“Advertising on Instacart is a key part of our omnichannel marketing plan,” said Ashlee Leo, Vice President of Marketing, Amylu Foods. “It’s equally important to reach a consumer in their online journey as it is their in-store journey. We use our Instacart tactics to build brand awareness, trial, and lifetime value.”

As Amylu Foods continues growing its sales in omnichannel spaces, the brand is also growing its reach in stores. With the launch of Breakfast Bites, Amylu Foods will enter the frozen food aisle for the first time. Committed to serving up traditional and healthy chicken-based products, Amylu Foods ensures accessibility for customers wherever they shop: online, in stores, and on Instacart.
