Drive Improved Ad Campaign Performance using Optimized Bidding — Now in Canada

We recently launched optimized bidding in Canada so our brand partners and advertisers can now take advantage of the efficiencies and results automation provides. Available for sponsored product ad campaigns, optimized bidding helps automate the previously manual effort of setting CPC bids and monitoring performance to determine what tweaks and adjustments to take.

Optimized bidding leverages machine learning technology to set and dynamically adjust bids, taking into account multiple factors to generate the largest-possible expected sales revenue and specified target ROAS for the available budget. Optimized bidding considers several signals when setting and adjusting bids such as consumer purchase history, the search terms, what’s already in the carts of consumers, among other considerations.

Optimized bidding objectives

When you run a sponsored product ad campaign with optimized bidding, you can select one of two objectives that you want your campaign to optimize for— maximize sales or acquire new-to-brand (NTB) consumers.

Benefits of optimized bidding

Whether your goal is to drive the maximum volume of sales, or acquire new customers, optimized bidding makes it easy to meet your business goals by automating the keyword and bid management process.

Instacart has a rich and deep dataset, derived from over one billion orders which our machine learning technology leverages to dynamically tailor your bids to be more competitive while delivering towards your specified target ROAS.

Optimized bidding campaigns eliminate the need for manual bid adjustments, driving efficiencies, but perhaps more importantly, tests have shown that these campaigns perform better than manual bidding campaigns.
