Instacart and Klarna Partner to Offer Consumers More Flexible Ways to Pay

We’re teaming up with Klarna to introduce even more ways to pay for your purchases online on Instacart.com and in the Instacart app. Our partnership gives you more flexibility to pay for same-day delivery across a range of categories, including everything from home improvement to beauty and bulk purchases.

Beginning today, you can select Klarna’s Pay in 4 payment option at Instacart’s checkout to pay in four interest-free payments, every two weeks. Whether it’s a TV from a consumer electronics retailer; a beauty haul from a personal care retailer; camping equipment from your local sporting goods store; an air fryer from a homewares chain; or even restocking bulk household purchases, you can now use Klarna on Instacart to spread qualifying purchases* into smaller payments that work with your budget.

With Klarna’s smooth user experience, users will get automated reminders on payment schedules so they can plan accordingly, as well as a full payment overview of their payments online or in the Klarna app.

Also available on Instacart is the option to pay via credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, select online payment systems and more. No matter how you choose to pay, Instacart gives you the flexibility to get what you want, when you need it.

With higher inflation and the average cost of items up, we’re looking for every opportunity to make shopping on Instacart more flexible, which is why we’re investing in pricing systems like Eversight, discounts for Instacart+ members, digitized coupons on the Deals Tab in the Instacart app, and new ways to pay for bigger purchases with Klarna.

*$10 min. purchase required. Item and retailer exclusions apply. Customers must create a Klarna account and use an eligible payment method. CA residents: Loans made or arranged pursuant to a California Finance Lenders Law license.
