New features to support you in a smooth delivery

Kurra   550 deliveries

Today, we’re announcing a few new features designed to create a more seamless experience when you are delivering to customers. As part of our continued commitment to support you while you shop and beyond, we’re introducing new ways to leave eligible orders at the door, scan items to help avoid mix-ups, and also remind customers to secure pets.

Making drop-offs more seamless

Shoppers have told us that some deliveries can be challenging when they are supposed to meet the customer for delivery but the customer cannot be reached. We’ve made updates in the Shopper app so you can leave eligible deliveries at the door if your customer is unavailable. On an eligible order, if you can’t find the customer and the customer doesn’t respond within 10 minutes, you can now leave the order securely at the door instead of returning the order to the store.

How it works

  • Follow the steps in the app to try to reach your customer. We remind customers to meet you at the door as you get closer and let customers know that if you cannot reach them, their order will be left at the door.
  • After a 10-minute wait time, you will be guided in the app to take a picture of where you left the order. The photo, the location, and delivery time will be shared with the customer.
  • Once the photo has been taken, you can complete the delivery.

Know you’ve got the right bags in multi-order batches

To help you avoid mix-ups when you’re delivering orders to multiple customers, we’re introducing a new scanning feature. On some orders, you will be guided to scan an item that is unique to the current customer’s order before you complete delivery. This will support you with delivering the right items and bags with confidence.

Reminding customers to secure their pets

If a customer is likely to have a pet, we remind customers to secure them before you arrive. We will also let you know ahead of time that a pet may be present at the delivery location. This helps you plan for any pets that may be around, so you can make sure your delivery goes smoothly and safely.
