Instacart Celebrates Women’s History Month with $1 Million Ads Initiative to Amplify Women-Owned Brands

Last year, we launched the Instacart Ads Initiative with a commitment of up to $1 million to support digital advertising for emerging Black-owned CPG brands on Instacart. Since then, brands from across the country have leveraged the Initiative to drive business growth through sales and category share on Instacart.

When we announced the Initiative last year, we made a commitment to continue supporting historically underrepresented, emerging CPG brands and leaders in the future by leveraging our advertising products.

Today, we’re proud to expand the Instacart Ads Initiative with a new commitment of up to $1 million to amplify women-owned CPG brands within the Instacart Marketplace. This next phase kicks off with several emerging brand partners, including Sweet Loren’s, Three Wishes Cereal, and Twrl Milk Tea, led by women who are innovating in the food and beverage industry. Beginning in April, each eligible women-owned CPG brand will receive Instacart Ads credits to launch campaigns leveraging the company’s flagship sponsored product ads offering through the end of the year. Sponsored product enables brands to secure premium digital shelf space across consumer touchpoints in the Instacart Marketplace.

Instacart Ads offers CPG brands of all sizes an equal advertising opportunity with prominent placement among the millions of items available from Instacart’s more than 700 beloved national, regional and local retailers, including unique brand names. Through the Instacart Ads Initiative, we’re aiming to create more equitable outcomes for historically underrepresented, emerging entrepreneurs in the CPG space by helping them drive growth on this platform.

Today’s announcement builds on Instacart’s commitment to prioritize Diversity, Equity, and Belonging as we celebrate Women’s History Month this March. For Instacart, Diversity, Equity and Belonging encompasses everything from increasing representation, focusing on inclusion, career development and opportunities, to social impact initiatives uplifting our communities, and ensuring we’re designing products that are accessible to everyone.

If you, or someone you know, are eligible for the Instacart Ads Initiative, head to http://ads.instacart.com to submit your interest.
