Instacart Named to Fortune’s 2021 Best Workplaces in the Bay Area List

We’re proud to announce Instacart has been recognized as a 2021 Best Workplace in the Bay Area by Fortune and Great Place to Work®, ranking #33 in the best large companies list.

The ranking considered more than 44,000 employee surveys from companies across the Bay Area. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team.

“Talented people in the Bay Area want to work for organizations where they can be part of something innovative and impactful,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “Organizations like Instacart are attracting these candidates because of their great workplace culture where employees feel like their job is meaningful and that they can maximize their human potential.”

In 2020, we’re honored to have received more than 10 distinguished awards recognizing Instacart as a great place to work, best place to work for diversity, top leadership, professional development, employee happiness, and work-life balance. Instacart also was ranked as one of the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area by Built In and named to the Y Combinator’s 2021 Top Companies List. We’re incredibly proud of these achievements and committed to continuing to make Instacart a great workplace for all.
