Meet Jakii Chu, Chief Marketing Officer

Jakii Chu joins Instacart as Chief Marketing Officer

Jakii Chu has joined Instacart from Fanatics, where she spent five years leading the company’s digital marketing function, marketplace strategy and wholesale business. Reporting directly to Instacart CEO Apoorva Mehta, Jakii will lead our growing marketing team based in San Francisco and will be focused on building and executing a world-class digital marketing strategy designed to engage new and returning Instacart customers. As SVP of Marketing and eCommerce for Fanatics, Jakii drove all aspects of the high-growth company’s owned and paid digital marketing strategy as Fanatics scaled from $1 billion to nearly $3 billion in revenue. Prior to joining Fanatics, she spent 10 years at eBay, where she built a deep understanding of fulfillment and logistics by leading the company’s entire global shipping strategy as COO of Shipping.

Meet Sagar Sanghvi, Chief Financial Officer

Sagar Sanghvi has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer at Instacart

Most recently Vice President of Finance and Strategy for Instacart, Sagar Sanghvi has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Since joining Instacart in 2015, Sagar has played an integral role in helping Instacart’s business grow, overseeing the company’s finance, business operations, FP&A and treasury teams. He has a proven track record of operating at scale in a complex, fast-moving industry like this one, and is excited to continue on at Instacart in this new capacity and role. Sagar succeeds Ravi Gupta, who has served as Instacart’s CFO and COO since 2015, and who will stay on through the end of the year to ensure a smooth transition. After that, he will continue to serve in an advisory role for Instacart in his new role as Partner at Sequoia Capital.

Meet Chris Rogers, Vice President of Retail

Chris Rogers joins Instacart as Vice President of Retail

Chris Rogers, formerly Managing Director of Apple Canada, has joined Instacart as Vice President of Retail, where he will focus on continuing to build Instacart’s reputation as a growth driver for brick and mortar businesses by deepening relationships with Instacart’s suite of more than 300 retail partners as well as driving new marketplace and enterprise partnerships across the U.S. and Canada. Based out of Instacart’s growing Toronto office, Chris has joined the company after nearly 11 years at Apple, where he oversaw Apple Canada’s strategy and revenue. As Managing Director for Apple Canada, Chris managed a team of more than 250 people and built and executed a made-in-Canada strategy that drove world-leading iPhone performance in the market.
