New Ways to Save: Chase and Instacart Continue to Partner and Introduce New Cashback Offer for Grocery Purchases
We know affordability is top of mind for everyone as they’re filling their weekly grocery cart. So at Instacart, we’re constantly looking for new ways to help customers access more savings as they shop.
Today, we’re excited to announce we are offering nearly all Chase cardholders 10% cashback on Instacart purchases. Millions of Chase cardholders are now eligible to take advantage of this offer, available to a wide range of credit and debit cards. This offer extends from August 1 through October 30, and we’re just getting started on the next phase of our partnership. We look forward to announcing more new offers and commitments in partnership with Chase over the coming months.
“We’ve been collaborating with Chase to bring the benefit of Instacart to cardmembers for years, and now we’re introducing new savings opportunities to the broader Chase ecosystem,” said Kirstie McCarter, Senior Director, Head of Partnerships. “Now, nearly all of Chase’s cardholders have an opportunity to save on Instacart purchases ranging from their weekly grocery shop, to last-minute household needs, and everything in between.”
The new promotion further strengthens a long-standing partnership between Chase and Instacart, which first brought savings to Chase cardholders more than four years ago. The companies most recently wrapped a successful, two-year recurring benefits partnership, which offered Instacart+ membership trials and statement credits to Chase Sapphire, Freedom, and Slate cardholders. This embedded benefit quickly saw strong adoption, with over two-thirds of redemptions occurring in the first year of the program and many of those customers converting into highly-engaged, paid Instacart+ members following their trials. Building on this success, we’re now expanding our approach to engage more of Chase’s cardmembers, so we can introduce new customers to the convenience and value of Instacart.
“Instacart has been an important Chase partner since 2020 and we’re pleased to bring this new 10% cashback offer to so many of our customers,” said Rich Muhlstock, President of Chase Media Solutions. “Our previous collaborations with Instacart proved highly successful, and with this new offer, Instacart is expanding its reach to new audiences across Chase while we deliver our customers an offer we know they’ll love. We’re excited to kick off this new era of our partnership with Instacart.”
We continue to partner with Chase on our co-branded Mastercard® credit card. Introduced in 2022, the Instacart Mastercard® credit card is Chase’s first co-branded card offering in the on-demand grocery delivery space, bringing cardholders accelerated points on all Instacart purchases.
To participate in the new promotion, eligible Chase customers can easily activate the 10% cashback offer up to $60 throughout the duration of the promotion, using the Chase mobile app*.
