New Ways To Save on Instacart

We understand that getting your groceries and restaurant-made meals delivered is an amazing convenience, and saving money on those bills is a necessity – especially during back-to-school season. According to a new survey from LendingTree, two-in-five consumers (40%) expect to go into debt over back-to-school shopping, at an average cost of $793. With extreme costs like that, it’s more important than ever to find ways to save.

At Instacart, we’re always working to give people more opportunities to save on food and essential household items, and today, we’re launching a suite of new features designed to put affordability front and center in the Instacart app and help our customers stretch their dollars further.

[NEW!] Personal Digital Flyer: Your New Grocery Circular

Our new Personal Digital Flyer transforms retailers’ traditional printed grocery circulars into a personalized digital format that customers can effortlessly browse every week to find the best deals and maximize savings from retailers they love. Flyer elevates the shopping experience beyond traditional printed circulars that clutter your kitchen counter by enabling savings-conscious customers to activate notifications and stay informed about when and how many of their favorite “Buy It Again” items are on sale.

The best part? Customers can browse Flyers and weekly deals from their favorite retailers at once, making it easy to maximize savings.

[NEW!] $0 Delivery Fees Available on Next Day Grocery Orders Over $10

Whether customers choose delivery or pickup, Instacart wants to help them save. Our new delivery option waives the delivery fee – a $7.99 value – when you want your groceries delivered the next day.* And good news for pickup customers, too: all pickup fees are now waived on orders of $35 or more.**

*Service and other fees may apply. Excludes convenience, club, alcohol and dollar stores. Other exclusions apply. Delivery via Instacart. **Retailer exclusions apply.

[NEW!] More Loyalty Card Savings at More Stores

Store loyalty benefits are one of the best ways to save big on grocery orders, and we’ve been hard at work making sure customers can get these savings when they shop online via Instacart, too: customers can now take advantage of hundreds of store loyalty programs when they shop from their favorite stores via the Instacart app and website, including retailers like Albertsons, Costco, Food Lion, Kroger, and Wegmans. By adding loyalty card info with just one tap at checkout, Instacart customers can save an average of $8-12 per order*. We’ve expanded loyalty with popular retailers to ensure that Instacart customers can access the same loyalty card savings as if they were shopping in-store.

*Savings calculated using average order savings in the past 30 days from our top retailers offering loyalty pricing on Instacart marketplace.

Expanding EBT/SNAP Access

At Instacart, we believe that fresh and nutritious foods should be accessible to everyone. We’re dedicated to expanding our marketplace to ensure families can use their SNAP benefits to get groceries delivered from the local grocers they know, love, and trust. Over the last few months, we’ve grown our partnerships with key retailers, increasing the number of stores and banners that accept SNAP as an online payment option. With these new additions, families can use their SNAP benefits at nearly 180 retailer banners, spanning over 30,000 stores across all 50 states and Washington, D.C., reaching nearly 98% of SNAP households in the U.S. Today, Instacart offers a diverse selection of online SNAP retailers, giving SNAP families the dignity to choose where they’d like to shop with their benefits, with the added convenience of same-day delivery.
