As a beloved source for thousands of recipes from some of the most experienced and trusted editors and recipe creators, New York Times Cooking’s collaboration with Instacart makes it easier than ever for aspiring home cooks to turn inspiration into action and get the ingredients they need delivered straight to their door in as fast as 30 minutes.

A Piece of Cake: Shop Your Favorite Recipes with Ease

Starting today, if you’re a New York Times Cooking subscriber accessing the New York Times Cooking website, you can add the ingredients from a recipe to your Instacart cart with just a few taps– Instacart will even point out which ingredients may already be in your pantry, so you don’t buy them again. No more scribbling down ingredient lists or making last-minute grocery runs. Just choose a recipe, click to add the ingredients to your Instacart cart, and enjoy a streamlined delivery experience from your favorite local retailer. 

Soon, you’ll also be able to do this right from your phone or tablet with the NYT Cooking app.

To celebrate this exciting launch, we’re teaming up with New York Times Cooking to offer exciting deals for both Instacart and New York Times Cooking users:

  • Instacart+ just got even more valuable! All annual Instacart+ members can now enjoy a free year of New York Times Cooking. 
  • New York Times Cooking subscribers will get 50% off their first year of Instacart+ membership, giving them access to $0 delivery fees on eligible grocery and restaurant orders over $35 (where available), reduced service fees on eligible orders, and a Peacock subscription at no extra cost (terms apply)

Daniel Danker is Chief Product Officer for Instacart, where he oversees the company’s product strategy, direction, and consumer experience. Prior to joining Instacart, Danker led the Uber Eats product team, where he was instrumental in defining the strategy and roadmap for Uber Eats across consumers, delivery people, and restaurants. Before leading Uber Eats, Daniel led Uber’s Driver product team, which focused on the millions of drivers on Uber's platform. Danker was also previously the Product Director for Video at Facebook, launching products like Facebook Live and Facebook Watch, in addition to Chief Product Officer of Shazam, where he sat on Shazam's executive board and led the expansion of Shazam's role in music.Danker graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications.
