Feeding: It's a pure and simple fact that adult dogs have varying activity levels. That's why this simple formula provides the complete and balanced nutrition that your dog needs to keep him healthy and happy. While these are the recommended feeding ranges for moderately active dogs, you should adjust them as needed to help them maintain their optimum weight.

For a dog weighing 3-12 lbs., feed 1/2 to 1-1/4 cups* daily. For a dog weighing 13-25 lbs., feed 1-1/4 to 2-1/4 cups* daily. For a dog weighing 26-50 lbs., feed 2-1/4 to 3-3/4 cups* daily. For a dog weighing 50-100 lbs., feed 3-3/4 to 6 cups* daily. For a dog weighing 100+ lbs., feed 6 cups* daily, plus 1/2 cup for each 10 lbs. of body weight over 100 lbs. *Amounts are based on standard 8 ounce dry measuring cup.

Switching to Pure Balance™: A slow transition is simply the best thing for your dog to help avoid digestive upset. When feeding Pure Balance™ for the first time, simply add increasing amounts with decreasing amounts of your current food for about a week or so. Of course, you always need to keep fresh water available for your dog at all times.
