Ingredients
Ingredients: Sugar, Yellow Corn Meal, Bleached Wheat Flour, Palm Oil, Wheat Starch, Salt, Leavening (sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Aluminum Phosphate, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Monocalcium Phosphate), Dextrose, Soy Lecithin, Xanthan Gum. Not More Than 2% Silicon Dioxide Added To Prevent Caking.
Directions
Bake: Carefully follow the mixing and baking instructions to recreate the same Famous Dave's Corn Bread you enjoy in our restaurants. All of our restaurant ovens are the same, home ovens vary. Therefore, we created a range of baking instructions. Mix. Bake. Enjoy. Repeat!
You Will Need: 1/3 Cup Milk, 1/3 Cup Water, 1 Egg and 1 Pouch Corn Bread Mix.
Before You Begin: Preheat oven to 400°F for Corn Bread, 425°F for Muffins. Prepare baking pan by lightly greasing or spraying with non-stick cooking spray.
1. Place milk, water and egg in medium bowl and mix.
2. Blend Corn Bread Mix in bowl using fork until moistened. Do not overmix.
3. Pour batter into pan or scoop into paper lined muffin cups.
4. Bake as directed in chart below or until light golden brown.
For a 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan, bake at 400°F for 23–26 minutes.
For 6 jumbo muffins, bake at 425°F for 18–20 minutes.
For 12 regular muffins, bake at 425°F for 17–19 minutes.
High Altitude (Over 5000 Feet) add 2–4 tablespoons flour.
