dairy - most dairy group choices should be fat-free or low-fat. Foods made from milk that retain their calcium content are part of the group. Calcium-fortified soymilk (soy beverage) is also part of the dairy group. Switch to fat-free or low-fat (1%) milk, refer to choosemyplate.gov for what foods are in the dairy group, 1 cup of milk, yogurt, or soymilk (soy beverage), 1 1/2 ounces of natural cheese, or 2 ounces of processed cheese can be considered as 1 cup from the dairy group.
grains - any food made from wheat, rice, oats, cornmeal, barley or another cereal grain is a grain product. Bread, pasta, oatmeal, breakfast cereals, tortillas and grits are examples of grain products. Make at least half of your grains whole grains, refer to choosemyplate.gov for what foods are in the grains group, 1 slice of bread, 1 cup of ready-to-eat cereal, or 1/2 cup of cooked rice, cooked pasta or cooked cereal can be considered as 1 ounce equivalent from the grains group.
protein - all foods made from meat, poultry, seafood, beans and peas, eggs, processed soy products, nuts, and seeds are considered part of the protein foods group. Vary your protein food choices, refer to choosemyplate.gov for what foods are in the protein group, 1 ounce of meat, poultry or fish, 1/4 cup cooked beans, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of peanut butter, or 1/2 ounce of nuts or seeds can be considered as 1 ounce equivalent from the protein foods group.
vegetables - any vegetable or 100% vegetable juice counts as a member of the vegetable group. Vegetables are organized into 5 subgroups, based on their nutrient content. Make half your plate fruits and vegetables, refer to choosemyplate.gov for a list of commonly eaten vegetables, 1 cup of raw or cooked vegetables or vegetable juice, or 2 cups of raw leafy greens can be considered as 1 cup from the vegetable group.

With an optional Instacart+ membership, you can get $0 delivery fee on every order over $35 and lower service fees too.
Instacart pickup cost:
- There may be a "pickup fee" (equivalent to a delivery fee for pickup orders) on your pick up order that is typically $1.99 for non-Instacart+ members. Instacart+ membership waives this like it would a delivery fee.
- Pick up orders have no service fees, regardless of non-Instacart+ or Instacart+ membership.

You can set item and delivery instructions in advance, as well as chat directly with your shopper while they shop and deliver your items. You can tell the shopper to:
- Find Best Match: By default, your shopper will use their best judgement to pick a replacement for your item.
- Pick Specific Replacement: You can pick a specific alternative for the shopper to purchase if your first choice is out-of-stock.
- Don't Replace: For items you'd rather not replace, choose "Don't replace" to get a refund if the item is out of stock.
