Cooking instructions - keep frozen - the following cooking instructions are recommended to ensure product quality and food safety. Cook to an internal temperature of 165°f. Note: cook to light golden color. Cooking times vary depending on appliance power. Watch carefully during the final minutes of preparation. When cooking smaller amounts, reduce cook time. Do not overcook. Oven method - 1. Preheat oven to 425°f (220°c). 2. Spread frozen shredded hash browns on a shallow pan and place on top rack of oven. 3. Heat 15-20 minutes turning frequently for even cooking. Pan fry method - 1. Pour 2 tablespoons of oil into an electric skillet and preheat to 325°f (163°c). 2. Pour 1/2 bag of frozen shredded hash browns into the skillet and cook for 9 minutes, turn shredded hash browns in skillet and continue to cook for an additional 6 minutes. 3. Remove product from the skillet, drain and serve. Caution for pan fry method: ice crystals may form on frozen food and can cause spattering when added to hot oil. Add product carefully to hot oil.
