What is the “natural flavor”? Why hide it? Why can’t these companies be transparent.

        I love it

Love it. I use this (12 g protein) & the Kodiak PEAK (20g protein) variety. I use almond protein milk instead of water frequently. Very helpful for my health struggles, getting better every day. Great energy & fullness. I feel I'm being very good to myself eating this.

        Hearty

I am very pleased with the taste and texture of this oatmeal. I love steel cut oats and the more hearty chewy texture is what I like most. With other instant oatmeal, I had to have 2 packets to feel satisfied, but with one packet I feel like I have had a good hearty breakfast and enjoy it even without adding fruit or nuts, but to take it up a notch the add in's make it even better.

        So Good!

Wanted some protein oatmeal...sent hubster to fetch some from the store and he brought me this. I was pleasantly surprised!! Love it!! Made with whole milk, added blueberries and an ounce of pecans...well I'm in love. Nice and warm, super filling. Goes great with my warm PerkEnergy and altogether with the Oatmeal, I'm getting like 30g protein in my breakfast alone!! Couldn't be more pleased...well, it of course could cost a bit less. But way cheaper than eating out!

        Good flavor, don't overthink oatmeal.

Good taste, little sweet depending on flavor. 4oz pour from a Keurig and 2 packs of the normal size is a big breakfast. Prefer the larger more protein packed pouches when I can find them.

My trainer turned me onto the Kodiak brand. I'm 60 and probably in the best shape I've been in for 40+ years. Exercise is one thing but eating better is difficult with a busy schedule. Kodiak is a huge help. Great stuff with awesome flavors. Thanks for all y'all do.

        Terrible Oatmeal
Reviewed on October 13, 2023 by GtrGuy2023 on Kodiak
Yikes! Whatever you do, DON’T follow the directions on the box! I don’t understand how this product can be so terrible while so many of their other products (flapjacks and power cups) can be so great! Everything about this oatmeal is bad. Texture, flavor, and temperature totally miss anything remotely close to resembling an edible oatmeal.

If you like steel cut oats, you will like this!
Reviewed on September 25, 2023 by Texan y'all on Kodiak
When compared to the Q brand of oatmeal, yes, this oatmeal is a bit chewier but I prefer it that way plus you are getting a slight increase in fiber content which results in lower net carbs. I add boiling water (more than what the package calls for), cover, and let stand covered for about 3 minutes and it's great. I do add in flax and chia seed with some dried unsweetened cranberries and a few pecans or walnuts so I end up with a really hearty bowl of oatmeal. I think it's great!

I bought a box at my grocery store (Fresh box July 2024 expire) I agree 100 % with all the other 1 star reviews. Everything others stated is the truth! Hands down, the worst instant oatmeal I have ever tasted.

Other Reviewers Way Too Harsh! GIVE IT A CHANCE!
Reviewed on September 22, 2023 by MagicMuffin on Kodiak
I am one of the pickiest eaters I know but I am currently weight training and looking for more ways to consume protein. I saw these and thought I'd give them a try. I was hesitant at first because the smell is a little odd (I think due to the pea protein) but ONLY before you add hot water. After that it's great! I will add though that perhaps a lot of these negative reviews are eating it completely on its own whereas I like to add some fresh berries. I throw some berries into a container, bring my pack of oatmeal to work and combine them and BOOM! A healthy, protein-packed breakfast that keeps my hunger satisfied for hours. Maybe it's just me but I honestly don't think it's bad AT ALL! But hey... to each their own.

        Great option for extra protein
Reviewed on August 14, 2023 by Big Table. on Kodiak
I purchased because Iike many others who weight train, protein has become my best friend -- always looking to up the protein intake. Anyway, the consistency is a bit different. I like I thicker oatmeal, so I leave it in the microwave for 2:30. I also add 3/4 cup of water instead of the recommended amount. It's ok. I would get it again just because of the protein.

Not perfect but my fav protein oatmeal.
Reviewed on June 14, 2023 on Kodiak
When I first purchased this I was put off a bit by the texture as it is different than classic instant oatmeal. But once I realized the directions needed to be followed exactly I liked it a lot more. (I add a little peanut butter and a sliced up banana to it.) Now it's my fav protein oatmeal (best protein with no cholesterol). I eat it almost every morning at work.

        Just nasty stuff!
Reviewed on June 1, 2023 by Dissatisfied on Kodiak
I have oats every single day, but for upcoming travel I bought some of these to take with me. I am SO glad I tried them in advance, because they are just about the worst thing I've ever tried to choke down! Even 3 minutes of microwaving and several minutes of steeping on top of that did not soften the oat flakes. It has an overwhelming smell of artificial maple flavoring, though they claim it has maple syrup, and is sickeningly sweet for an adult palate. No amount of chewing made them any more palatable. Based upon this experience., I will avoid all Kodiak products like the plague. Don't waste your money on something only fit for the compost bin.

        A very big MISS
Reviewed on May 31, 2023 by Danielle123 on Kodiak
Oatmeal has always been my go to mid-morning office snack. Recently I've been looking at ways to up my protein intake and knew there were a few brands that had oatmeal with added protein. I went with Kodiak since I know and love the flapjack mix, and because there were 2 more grams of protein per serving than Quaker. In short, that was a mistake. Kodiak missed the mark on this instant oatmeal. These oats are whole, chewy, and cardboard-like. I tried adding more liquid, cooking for longer times, using the steeping instructions instead of the microwave ones, etc. I've been through an entire box now and have decided there is no way to cook this oatmeal to make it enjoyable. This is a hard pass for me, but I'd love to retry if Kodiak ever gives this a another go!

        Quality/Freshness Issues as of March-April 2023

I ate this oatmeal every day for a couple years. As of March-April 2023, something occurred with the quality of the ingredients or freshness of the product where I bought 4 boxes and the brown sugar tastes like Starburst. Unfortunately, I will be finding another way to get my protein in the morning after being a loyal customer for so long.
