Our gluten-free Double Protein Oats are a rolled, old fashioned oatmeal made from a highly nutritious special seed variety and grown and processed using strict "purity protocol" gluten free methods. They are 100% raw with active enzymes and cold processed to retain their superior nutrition. The oats have about double the protein of the leading brands and 20%-40% more fiber and iron. ZEGO's oats are free of glyphosate and purity verified for over 500 other pesticides and heavy metals. They are processed in a top 14 allergy-free facility.
*Because these oats are raw, you must add salt or an acid if you are going to expose them to liquid before cooking. Otherwise they will immediately start fermenting and developing into sourdough starter and have an off or bitter taste. Do not eat fermenting oats or it can cause stomach upset. We recommend cooking stovetop and adding oats to boiling, salted water. Microwave cooking is not recommended.
