Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour cake pans. Use paper liners for cupcakes, or coat with non-stick spray, if desired. Using the table below, measure out correct amount of cake mix and ingredients to prepare finished cake. Use dry measuring cups to measure out dry cake mix. Make sure you gently spoon dry cake mix into cups and level off with a straight edge. Do not pack or cake will be dry. Using electric mixer at lowest speed, blend milk, oil and dry cake mix for 30 seconds; scrape bowl. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed; scrape bowl. Add eggs and blend at lowest speed for 30 seconds to incorporate eggs; scrape bowl. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed; scrape bowl. Pour batter into pan(s) and bake according to table, below. Check cake layers or cupcakes at minimum time. Toothpick inserted in center should come out clean and top of cake or cupcakes should spring back when lightly touched with fingertip. To Make 12 Cupcakes (fill 2/3 full): 1-3/4 cups + 2 tbs cake mix; 1/2 cup + 1 tbs milk; 1 egg; 3 tbs oil; 14-18 mins baking times; 96 cupcakes yield per package.
