Bowties pasta with basil pesto - 8 ounces stater bros. Bowties pasta, 1 cup packed fresh basil leaves, 1/4 cup pine nuts, lightly toasted, 1 large clove garlic, 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil, 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Cook pasta according to package directions. Combine basil, 3 tablespoons pine nuts and garlic in small food processor bowl or blender container and pulse until chopped. With machine running, drizzle in olive oil until blended. Spoon pesto mixture into a large bowl, stir in cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste. Add hot, drained pasta to bowl and toss to coat. Garnish with remaining pine nuts and additional grated or shredded cheese. Makes 4 servings.
