        I’ve had bouts of heartburn and acid indigestion that are so intense that it prevented sleep at the least and had me doubled over in pain at the worst. Omeprazole and Lansoprazole work, but take more time to provide relief and are not advised to be used longer than 14 days. Pepcid AC’s active ingredients may be taken for longer periods (only if deemed necessary by a physician), and the list of possible side effects are not nearly as common or worrying as with the other two medications mentioned. I’ve not noticed that the other drugs are any more effective as Pepcid in the long run, either. Pepcid AC is the clear winner in my experience.

        The first time in my life I ever had Pepcid was back in the day when you could only get it by prescription. I'm an Italian and when I found out that it was tomatoes that were giving me indigestion, I couldn't believe it. But Pepcid did the trick. Yes, I had scripts for other products but this is the one that worked for me. So glad its OTC now. Whew.

        I am not the one who needs this. My dog throws up meds and one tablet is recommended by her vet 15 min. before taking the meds with food. Food first, meds mixed with meatball later. Vet only recommends this brand, so I only get this one.

        I tried this multiple times and it worked well .I knew I was going to be eating Italian so I took it before we got served and it worked great ,and it also worked for the Italian dressing on my salad which always gives me heartburn or I rift it up the entire day and I didn't have a problem with that either .I like the fact there is no need to take it everyday to work .:)
