        Every time I but the whole tomatoes, they still have peel on them. I now buy store brand tomatoes that are huge romas with no peel and they are better.

        If you are making sugo, these are good. Are there better tomatoes out there, sure. These are a main staple in my home for various dishes. As I mentioned in another review, the salt content is perfect if you don’t feel like seasoning sauces.

        I frequently eat the whole tomatoes right out of the can . Recently I have been pretty disappointed. My last can I ate this evening. Only 4 macerated appearing to be macerated. Not nice appearance and loaded with skin peels.. The can over half full of juice and each drink taken I had to spit out peelings. Not very appetizing. This seems to be the norm recently. I may need to change brands if this continues.

        Hunts used to be a decent quality. Now every can has excessive skins and cores and even black spots on the tomatoes. From the looks of it I’m not alone in noticing. Unacceptable. Way to tank your brand!

        I bought 2 cans for a recipe and was fortunate to get 1 can of usable product. The tomatoes were mealy with tough ends. Most had shredded skins attached. One can only has 5 tomatoes in it with the rest being liquid. Do you have any quality control programs in place? I seriously doubt it.

        Hunts used to be a trusted name in the tomato arena- no longer.. large can of while peeled tomatoes was mostly water tomato juice, the hard middle center of the tomato, and lots of outside skins..

        Well, I'd like to complain about the unpeeled tomatoes and hard tops, but... the stem with the root still attached takes the cake today. I wish I could attach a photo. It looked like an alien. My friends were horrified. The inside of the stem was so hard, that thing must've been sentient when it was alive.

        We’ve consistently used the whole tomatoes as well as the tomato sauce to make our gravy, lately the whole tomatoes, which is stated on the can to be steam peeled, we’ve noticed more and more skins still attached to the tomatoes, it may be time to start buying another brand. I, personally don’t like the skins in my sauce.

        I buy Hunt's brand tomato products because I know I'm getting a quality tomato product. The last 2 cans of whole peeled tomatoes still had skin, and hard cores, on 3/4 of the tomatoes in the cans. I of course dumped them into the cooking pot. Only to have to fish them back out to peel and core most of the tomatoes. I have another can still in my cupboard. I hope it's not the same. The tomatoes themselves are usually very good, consistently ripe and large.

        My family and I have always Hunt's tomato products and love them. Several years back, I remember getting Whole Tomatoes, but I don't remember them being plum tomatoes. Didn't you use to use a regular tomato instead??
