Beet seed is actually a dried fruit with 1-5 seeds in each fruit, so proper thinning is very important. This packet sows up to 23 feet. No GMOs. All our seeds are untreated. Days to Emerge: 5-21 days. Seed Depth: 1/2 inch. Seed Spacing: 1 seed every 4 inches. Row Spacing: 12 inches. Thinning: When 2 inches tall, thin to 1 every 4 inches. When to Sow Outside: Recommended: 2 to 4 weeks before average last frost, or when soil temperature to 60 degrees - 85 degrees F for early summer crop. 6 to 8 weeks before first fall frost for a late summer/early fall crop. Growing during hot temperature periods should be avoided. USDA zones 10 and 11 can sow fall through winter. When to Start Inside: Not recommended. Special Germination Instructions: To hasten germination, soak seeds for 8 to 24 hours before sowing.

Instacart pickup cost:
- There may be a "pickup fee" (equivalent to a delivery fee for pickup orders) on your pick up order that is typically $1.99 for non-Instacart+ members. Instacart+ membership waives this like it would a delivery fee.
- Pick up orders have no service fees, regardless of non-Instacart+ or Instacart+ membership.

You can set item and delivery instructions in advance, as well as chat directly with your shopper while they shop and deliver your items. You can tell the shopper to:
- Find Best Match: By default, your shopper will use their best judgement to pick a replacement for your item.
- Pick Specific Replacement: You can pick a specific alternative for the shopper to purchase if your first choice is out-of-stock.
- Don't Replace: For items you'd rather not replace, choose "Don't replace" to get a refund if the item is out of stock.
