Simple Baked Chicken

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Dry the chicken thighs or breasts with paper towels. This helps the spices stick better and makes the chicken crispy.

Put the chicken in a big bowl or a zip-top bag. Pour in the olive oil. Add the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix or shake until the chicken is covered with the spices.

Place the chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased with oil.

Put the chicken in the oven. Bake for 25–30 minutes for thighs or 20–25 minutes for breasts. The chicken is done when the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the juices are clear.

Take the chicken out of the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
