        First home hair color
Reviewed on April 25, 2020 by SmilingInVA on lorealparisusa.com
This was my first time trying to color hair on my own. I've had my hair professionally colored for over 20 years so I hesitated to make this move. But it's been 10 weeks since my last color and no predictable end to quarantine so I took the plunge. Could not be happier. Roots are completely covered, hair color is near perfect match, and hair feels and looks shiny and healthy.

        BRING BACK 8BB (BEIGE BLOND)
        Reviewed on July 18, 2017 by mari22 on lorealparisusa.com
This review and rating is for the color which is not produced any more. I've been using Excellence Creme 8BB (Beige Blond) for many years and it became me. Hair is one of the most important assets of a woman. I have good full hair and this color made it more - it made it beautiful, it made me comfortable with my color. I was complimented on it, I was asked about it. It has been me for my family, for my friends. But no more! Today I used up the last pack of this color6 which bought from all over the country after it was discontinued. After reading the reviews on the new blonde shades I am very discouraged. I do not want to change! BRING IT BACK, PLEASE. As a call for women who understand my attachment to the favorite color and especially to 8BB please write and show your support! Thank you for reading.

        Cautiously optimistic

With the quarantine, I had a choice, go gray or go with a box color. I’ve had my hair professionally colored for nearly 30 years and am close to 80% gray. Since I’m not ready to go gray, I bought L’Oréal Excellence Creme, 6 Light Brown. I applied it and was prepared for the worst. It’s not perfect but I’m blown away! The color and coverage is spot on. Thanks so much!

        Really happy with the color

I haven’t colored my hair for almost 2 years. I used the excellence creme light reddish brown and am very happy with the results. I washed my hair when I rinsed the color out and I did not use the conditioning treatment that was included instead I used my own conditioner.

        Flawless even coverage(even the greys)
        Reviewed on March 26, 2020 on lorealparisusa.com
I'm about 15% grey and my ends had 2 year old grown out highlights. Followed the instructions exactly. 100% even coverage that is gorgeously soft and shiny. The serum has made it so you cant even tell it was dyed, it's so healthy feeling! Included a pic before and one after. Sorry I didnt get the same lighting, but I'm sure you see the results!

        New go to
        Reviewed on June 21, 2020 by 4rings on lorealparisusa.com
So I always have my hair done at a salon. This time wasn’t happy with new highlights. Too orange and brassy. Needed to cover the highlights. I have never used boxed dye, ever. Was very nervous. Purchased 5AB MOCHA ASH BROWN. I love the results. I only covered the highlighted portions (strands on top) and also put on ends where highlights were lightest. My underneath natural color is medium/dark brown. It came out darker than the color on box, but that’s what I wanted. Covered the highlights and left rich brown with a more natural highlighted color. Hope it doesn’t wash out or fade fast. Also, I will eventually need to cover the gray at roots and hoping I can use this same color. Hair doesn’t feel dry either. Looks healthier than before.

        Excellent product
Reviewed on August 26, 2017 by former model on lorealparisusa.com
I have been using Excellence cream for several years and find that it not only covers the gray, but it also gives my hair a soft texture and tons of shine. I have my hair colored professionally once every 2-3 months and partial highlights added in between coloring. Then when the gray starts to peak through, it do a root only touch up with Excellence. I first use the pre-treatment creme to cover some of the highlights from root to tip by applying the creme to my finger and pulling it through very small sections of hair. Then to apply color, part your hair in narrow sections one at a time and use the tip of the color solution bottle to drizzle each section at the roots only. I also apply to the edge of where my hair grows around the neck and face. Then leave on AT LEAST 30 minutes. Your initial results will be darker than you think, but wash your hair with shampoo instead of just rinsing like the instructions recommend. Always apply conditioner afterward and rinse. The color lightens the next time you shower and shampoo. I suggest buying a color one shade lighter than the color you want. The best thing about Excellence is that it doesn't run or drip like many other formulas.

Easy to use and no drips!
Reviewed on January 28, 2017 by NWNative on lorealparisusa.com
I've been using this for three years and love it. No drips all over, color is true and it's easy to apply and wash out. No residue left on the scalp either. I also love the new tube of protection for hair ends to keep them from becoming darker. This color looks darker on my hair than the box, so be sure and test strip. My hair is naturally dark brown at this point with about 50% white. It still covers evenly. Washing 2-3 times a week with L'Oreal product keeps the fade away. I color every 5-6 weeks, roots 20 min, all over 10. My white is stubborn. I'm 55 and my hair is fine and I am Northern European white. Hope this helps someone.

I usually go to a salon to get my hair colored but when you can't afford to do that, you try other things. And boy am I glad I did! I bought the L'oreal Excellence Cream in Dark Ash Brown. I have very dark brown hair with a LOT of grey. My stylist has told me before that my greys are very difficult to cover. I had so much growth at my roots that I was concerned that a box color wouldn't work. But for the price, I figured why not try. I'm so glad I did! It was very easy to apply, very low odor and the results are fabulous!! The 3rd step, which is a tube of deep conditioning is enough for 3 shampoos for me. (my hair is to my shoulder blades). My hair is silky, shiny and the color is gorgeous. It covered my greys with ease and gave me a hint of natural auburn undertones. I don't know if I'll ever go back to a salon again!! So glad I tried this product.

Something drastically changed and it's not my hair. I have used 4AR first, and 5AR for the last three years. I had to leave it in for 30 minutes to cover all grey but it was beautiful, had dimension and I only had to cover new growth of greys. Now, even 5AR is too-dark and dull indoors, a weird bright orange in sun, and gone in 3 washes. I also have hair splitting off and fraying. This was the last good box dye and now it's the same garbage eveyone else has. So if you don't have hundreds a month to pay for salon dye you get shoe polish and damage. Disgusting. Now, the 5AR is darker than the 4AR used to be and it washes out in a few shampoos

Loreal Excellence in Champagne Blonde is the perfect color for me. It colored most of my gray hair evenly, as advertised. I like how the creme stays in place after being applied. No worries about it running or dripping. The conditioner included in the kit makes my hair super soft and shiny. Now I have my DIY beauty routine complete! Thanks Loreal and please continue to keep this awesome product on the market. It is such a pretty color and effective product!

First time at home coloring! So happy!

I have been getting my hair professionally colored for over 25 years. I am mostly grey now so coloring my hair is really important to me. A friend recommended L’Oréal to me and said “just try it”, that’s what she uses. I bought a box of Light Natural Blonde #9 and I will admit, I was so nervous!! I followed the directions to a T and I am so happy with the final results! My hair is super soft and shiny. Very pleasantly surprised and I’m pretty sure that I will only be going for hair cuts now and using L’Oréal for my color.
