    I used to love using Dawn dish soap. It was the only kind I would buy and use. But I can not stand the smell of the new scent! It is overpowering, and it leaves a residue on dishes and even worse, on cookware. The next thing you cook has the leftover flavor of the "fresh scent" that lingers and makes things taste awful. Such a disappointment, when they had such a great and trusted product before.

    I have used Dawn for over 27 years, it was perfect and then you changed the scent. I never write reviews, but this scent is so awful it literally makes my eyes water and as someone else mentioned its actually nauseating. Why mess with a great product? I am now buying the Great Value brand, it doesn't smell, but it doesn't work that great either.

    I have been a loyal Dawn user for years. I noticed that lately I have to use a lot more soap to cut through the grease. I hate the new formula. It doesn't work. I will give Palmolive a try. Please go back to the old formula...the new one is going to lose you business.

    I can't believe they changed the original scent to this! It stinks! I hate it! Wish they would change it back. I'm glad I found people who agree with me. I guess I should have sniffed it before I bought it. If I could return it, I would. Now I'm stuck with it.

    My favorite dish soap forever! I will never stop purchasing it. HOWEVER, the "New Clean Scent" is just terrible and I hate it. I don't want my cooking gear to smell like men's cologne. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go back to the original scent on the Dawn "Original" Dishwashing Liquid. ASAP! Thanks for making a great product. I'll give it 5 stars again once it stops smelling like a teenage boy trying to impress his date.

I will be returning due to unpleasant scent I absolutely cannot work with - instant headache. Smells absolutely awful. And Dawn, that’s not the smell of clean; that’s the smell of cheap, fruity body spray.

    Sad to say that I have used Dawn Original all of my life. It is the ONLY one that I can use with my allergies. Unfortunately, the new scent gives me such a bad headache every time I use it I had to give it away. Would LOVE to know where I can find it in the Original scent in the bigger bottles…can only find it is the smaller bottles. 😔

    Your new "scent" stinks, and sickeningly so. I can buy other, and cheaper, dishwashing liquids that do not smell offensive. They may not clean the oil off pelicans and ducks as well as Dawn, but then I don't wash ducks or pelicans in my sink.

    The new scent is positively gross. It lingers on everything it touches - my silicone spatulas smell like it; my hands smell like it for hours after doing dishes. It gives me a headache and nauseates me. And of course, I can’t find the original scent anywhere local. Farewell, Dawn. Not coming near you again with a ten foot pole!
