Directions
You Will Need: 1 tbsp. vegetable oil; 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced; 1 medium carrot, peeled and sliced (about 1/2 cup); 1 carton (32 oz.) Swanson Chicken Broth; 3 cups water; 1 pouch Swanson Homemade Soup Maker; 1/2 - 1 tsp. salt (optional). To Prepare - (Soup Mix Must Be Cooked for Food Safety): Step 1: Heat the oil in a 4-qt. saucepan over medium-high heat. Saute the chicken until cooked through. Step 2: Stir in the carrot, broth, water and soup mix and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 min. or until the noodles are tender. Season with the salt. Top with fresh parsley, if desired. Short on time? Omit oil and substitute 2-1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken for the uncooked chicken. Add during the last 10 min. of simmering. Recommended use by date on container. Discard unused portion of mix. Follow cooking instructions on package. Store in a cool dry place.
