Red Wine for Delivery or Pickup

Tannin is a compound in wine that comes from the grape's skin, stem, and seeds, with red wines typically having a higher tannin content than white wines. Tannin can also come from wood, meaning oak-aged wines might have added tannins. 

If you find yourself with leftover wine at the end of the evening, don't fret: You can save it for another day. Oxygen is wine's enemy, causing it to oxidize very quickly and giving it a vinegar taste. Find a container to store your wine that is almost to the overflow point so very little air can get in and stay trapped. Avoiding air bubbles and trapped air is critical to keeping red wine fresh. 

Store the wine in the refrigerator for up to 7 days, and allow it to sit out to raise to temperature before drinking. If you have wine that has gone beyond its peak tastiness, use it for cooking to add a level of depth and richness to your meal.
